Welcome to the Internet home of the West Virginia Police Canine Association.
We are a not-for-profit organization that was established in 1993 to network
police service dog teams throughout the State of West Virginia. While developing
performance standards, we continue to provide training opportunities and other
resources to assist members in the performance of their professional duties to
the public. Our mission is "To Unite and Assist Police Service Dogs and Handlers
in the State of West Virginia."
FYI: 2007 Seminar Stats:
The 12th Annual WVPCA Training Seminar was
held in Huntington, WV and hosted by the Cabell County Sheriff's Department,
April 16th --20th, 2007.
This seminar was awesome. Doug Adams
and his department outdid themselves in seeing that everything went
smoothly. The paperwork was easier for me to handle this year than it has
ever been. I have compiled some information that you might find
interesting. (This information is approximate, but for most purposes
correct. I have checked my records over several times and this is what I
came up with.)

Things to know...
We are compiling resource information in the "Knowledge Base" section. While
this is a continuing work-in-progress, we invite you to take a look around. If
you become aware of other Internet resources that would be of value to the
membership, let us know. We can supply a link to that site from the Knowledge
Base section. We are also looking for original works from our members that we
can post here.
The "Members" section is another area under development. We are working on
establishing an email list, such as a Yahoo Groups List, to further strengthen
the networking amongst our membership. If you like this idea or have other ideas
or suggestions, drop us an email.
The "Archives" section is where we are planning to keep old records, web
pages of past events, and etc. If you have information or photos from past
events, please contact the webmaster. We would like to get copies on the web
site.
